In 2011, the TOD'S Group announced a sponsorship and renovation plan for the Colosseum in collaboration with the Rome Superintendency of Cultural Heritage. After two major renovation phases, a collective effort involving archaeologists, restorers, engineers, architects, and construction workers has seen the Colosseum's outer wall regain its splendor, and the lower structure reopened.
