Coincidentally, the first scene we filmed was everyone skating at Shichahai. Looking back now, it seems everything has moved forward, yet everything feels like it never changed.
On February 4th last year, on the day of the beginning of spring, I remember everyone gathered for a reading, I focused on the lines in the script, trying little by little to grasp the essence of Chunsheng. The filming of 'Dream Sea' began on the seventh day of the New Year, in the vast Shichahai ice rink, the air was cold and refreshing. A group of people looked at each other, both unfamiliar and familiar, exhaling warm breaths, skating and playing, under an endless blue sky, on that solid ice surface, it seemed as if each person's back carried the passionate and youthful power of an entire era.
Chunsheng, tenacious, loyal, persistent, unchanging. He is deeply affectionate, never admits defeat, and has been like this since childhood. Decades have flashed by, times have changed, the people around have changed, everything is changing, yet Chunsheng holds on to those he recognizes and the things he believes in, remaining unchanged.
You said to me: 'Life is not just about this Shichahai, there are broader horizons waiting for us outside!'
I want to say to you: 'As long as a person knows where they are going, the whole world will make way for them.'
In the end, you see, whether it is the ice and snow of winter or the winds and rains of summer, they still remember, how wonderful it is!
